In 2009, my motion to relocate back East w/my 3 yr old son was granted in NV family court by default. In 1st qtr 2010, my abusive ex-husband used lies and deception to re-open the case. In April, 2010 I appeared in NV family court, was given permission to return to work back East w/my son, however in 30 days (at my expense) my son would have to be returned to NV, then after 30 days be returned to NY, and I was to continue flying my toddler back and forth 3,000 miles each way until Sept, 2010 when the final hearing was scheduled, which I was never notified to attend. I was livid! Upon my return home, I hired an attorney to create a settlement agreement for my ex and Judge Bryce Duckworth in NV to consider. Both refused to agree to the settlement that gave my ex access to our son w/o paying child support and protected the child from the stress of flying 15000 miles in 4 months. My son kept in touch w/my ex by phone, meanwhile criminal charges were made against me without my knowledge. In Dec, 2010 I was arrested by several marshals at my corp apt for being a fugitive from NV, my son was taken away by the Dept of Children's Services and I was detained for 22 days. Even though all charges were dropped by my ex in NV's criminal court, I was extradited via a cross country bus, shackled hand and foot for several days, to answer charges in NV's criminal court (even though they were previously dropped). I was told to plead no-contest and was released on Jan 3, 2011. In 2011, several futile hearings were scheduled for the modification of custody which I lost during 2010. My ex submitted more lies which judge Bryce Duckworth excused in his usual lackadaisical manner. In the final hearing, my ex and his attorney David Mann confidently disrespected me verbally and judge Duckworth joined them; my ex was given permission to relocate back to Texas and now he arrogantly blocks all attempts for me to see my son. I will never give up on my only child!
