Return All Clovis Unified Teachers to the Classroom

I work at a school and I’m eager to be with my kiddos again!!

Teachers should teach in the classroom. They are essential and should not be given a choice to teach from home unless they have extremely high health risk. This is ridiculous. No one asks any other essential worker if they want to come in. CUSD shouldn’t either. I heard over 400 teachers have signed so far. I don’t believe that 400 teachers are in a high risk category. For those that are, I would support that. But otherwise, we all need to get back to work. For the kids.

Get back in the classrooms and do the job you’ve chosen. Just like the rest of us.

The lives of our children are more important than anything. Remote school is the best option.

Parent of Clovis High student and I also work within FUSD. Our kids need to be back in school. We as adults say "masks work" and then want to turn and say we don't want to work...doesn't compute.

Our students need to be back...in the classroom...with their peers

Get to work or quit! No more free rides! There is zero science to support your cowardice and Marxist demands.

My son goes to Clark and needs to be class.

Students need teachers.

All kids need to be in school, this is a flu virus and our kids are suffering, we all are suffering due to the power grabbing lies.

Enough is enough. Open schools! Society is failing our children. They deserve better than this. The deserve to be in school, to act like children. These are important years, especially high school.

Distance learning does not work for every child. I have two that are successful (1st and 11th grade) and two struggling (4th and 8th grade). The younger two have returned to campus in a hybrid model which has helped. It’s still not the best, but it’s better than the alternative of 100% online. One of the two still required to be home (since they are middle and high school) is majorly struggling. He is begging to go back to school in person in hopes of having a chance to learn the material that is so hard in this virtual format (math for him). While he typically was an A/B student, he is now struggling academically and mentally. Please give my son and the hundreds of other students an opportunity to receive in-person instruction. Their future (and ours) depends on it.

My kid is struggling more then ever!

Open up campuses, you want to follow the science and experts. The CDC has never recommended closes schools. The kids are suffering yet the selfish district and over 400 teachers are still getting full salary. They are slow to respond to emails if they even do. This is getting out of hand, this is why I voted NO on measure A. You don’t want to stand for the students and parents then you don’t deserve my property tax money.

I am a student and I feel that it is way IMPORTANT for students to get back to in person school. however, we can't do this if we don't have any teachers. I know of so many people who were straight A students and cared so much about their academics and are now failing all their classes and couldn't care any less about it. This is so heart breaking and yet teachers think we are fine doing online. Its way harder to communicate this way and for many students who need hands on teaching, online doesn't fullfil their needs to succeed, which isn't that the whole goal at Clovis High and other school in Clovis, for their students to succeed and be the best the best they can be?

I want my kids back at school! Do the job you are paid to do or you should be fired.

We want our kids back in class at the high school level! Please require our essential teachers to go back to the classroom for our kids mental health

My junior in high school is overwhelmed, stressed and discouraged. He wants to be back in class all day, every day. He feels shortchanged from class time, especially with 3 AP classes he chose. One of them, Comp Science Principles, was promised to be an in class/no homework AP class. He is on the computer doing school and homework from morning til night. (The only reason he chose online instead of hybrid was for more class time.) He is very worried he won’t do well on the AP exams due to such minimal class time (he compares it to last year with AP) . He is barely getting everything done. He misses the normal social times too, lunch on campus, PE, friends, sports, etc Please get these students back on campus with full days. So many other states and districts are doing so - we should too - California kids are being cheated from normal life.

Our kids need to back in school. Teachers are essential.
