The children there are some of the children or grand children of the past classes. I know I would love to see my fathers picture hanging in the hall!

It would be inexcusable to simply erase a lot of Vashon High School history by not displaying these class photos simply because there's a pretty, brand new school and -- let's be honest here -- a brand new principal who doesn't have much connection to VHS's past.

So many VHS graduates return as adults to live on the island and are now helping to pay the taxes that support our schools. Makes sense to me to honor them by keeping their class pictures displayed.

Please put the pictures of past graduating classes back up. It's our history. Why take that away for our small community? When I attended VHS I loved looking for my family members who have graduated from VHS. Kids who attend VHS love looking for their family members. My whole Buxton family graduated from there. Please keep the pictures and put them back up!

Our history and traditions are what keep us a community. The class pictures are part of that history.

These photos are part of our history; they were hung for us to see and should be hung for our great-great-grandchildren to see.

We hopefully learn from our past. Our past is an important part of "community". Knowing you are part of something "bigger".

Not only the class photos but also the memorials removed from the grounds and currently sitting in a cage. As said by gerald march we need to know our history.

Schools are about more than accumulating data. Knowing our community and it's history ties us together as a community and a species.

man decisions were made regarding the new school -some were great and some missed the mark. It means a great deal to most alumni when we see our own pictures and that of our predecessors. Find a place and hang them for all to see.

And while you're at it find the one for the class of 1997. It never was put up.
