Anglers who fish Irvine Lake request that boating return for fishing. It is requested that rental boats return to the lake for fishing. Also, that the launch ramp be opened again for private boaters who wish to bring their own boat to fish.

It’s been a long time coming I hope this is not a prank, lol. I have been fishing Irvine Lake since I was a kid great time great people and staff I won a couple fishing tournaments there, I miss it, Irvine was my go to lake my home lake and hoping the community can enjoy even more coming to Irvine Lake.
Irvine lake literally changed my life and my career in a big way.. I owe so much to the lake.. bringing it back would be a dream come true
Lake recreation is not equally spread over Southern California, and yet, one of the best spots is (or could be) Irvine Lake. I first started fishing there in 1960 when I lived in the OC, have written about the lake many times, and though I now reside in Riverside County, and am ready to go back with my boat. Can you make that happen?
Boating adds to the recreational; opportunities to fish. It will increase revenues not only for the lake, but also businesses who support fishing on Lake Irvine. Thank you JC

It's about time!!!
We need more recreational fishing close to OC. Irvine Lake was such a great little fishery and a quick little boating get away! I fished there off and on for 50 years and it was such a heartbreak to lose it. Please bring it back the way it used to be!

Here's to hoping that those that control Irvine Lake are able to procure an insurance policy (liability) and are able to open the lake for recreational boating. I have fished from my boat many times at this OC local lake and caught many a fine fish from it. Rental boats can be a problem when inexperienced boat operators do not follow the safety guidelines put in place and would not be necessarily be needed. Private boaters, shore fisherman, campers and concession sales could fund maintenance and operating fees. As a member of the Huntington Beach Fishing Club I would very much like to see Irvine Lake return to it's status as the place to fish.
