This is a petition for people to sign if they agree that the world needs a Retro Disney Channel. There are many "Retro" cartoon channels but none have the connection with children and families that a Retro Disney channel would. Right now Disney programming is broken down like this. Disney is marketed to mostly children ages 6–14, with the exception of their weekend primetime block that is aimed at pre-teens and teenagers ages 9–15, and the Playhouse Disney programming block is aimed at children ages 2–5. However, a Retro Disney channel has the potential for a fan base from children as young as 1 or 2 and adults as old as 80 due to Disney's extensive collection of programming over the last 90 something years. You can sit there with 4 generations of family and every single person would be able to recognize and bond over something a simple as old episode of Donald Duck or Winnie The Pooh. If I can get enough signatures, I will be contacting the Disney offices and using this petition as a stepping stone/starting block for a Retro Disney channel.
