TBI is a very debilitating injury. My own brother suffers from it as well.

I support Amanda as I had a closed head injury in 1988 and it changes your life forever. I did not have the medical care I needed at the time because I did not know who was going to pay for it. I too was not at fault and I received some money after about 2 years but not enough for how much I endured or how my life changed because of it. All I can say is that Amanda deserves more money and justice!

I am appalled, as well as embarrassed, that I live in a State that makes excuses to for law enforcement.

This is so sad. I’m family of law enforcement and have several friends that are law enforcement. I back law enforcement daily they have a very hard job. But clearly a mistake was made here. There is insurance for these mistakes and unfortunately laws need to be changed. She should not have to pay for a mistake that she was not at fault of. Sometimes in life things are meant to change and over years. Times change, prices go up and it becomes time to reevaluate things.
