This is a petition against building a playground in the Retreat. The HOA Board says that the neighborhood is split on the issue so we need to prove the majority of the local neighborhood does not wish to have a playground in the empty field that we all were told would remain empty. I plan to share this with the HOA Board at the next meeting on August 8th. Please include your address as well so we can show the proximity to the area in question.
Some of the main concerns center around, increased traffic, lack of parking, noise, vandalism, aesthetics and resale. Add an additional concerns in the comments section so we can highlight them as well

I really did not think this many neighbors felt the same way about keeping that field quiet but it turns out I was wrong which is a good thing I guess. It is honestly kind of overwhelming to see how much people care about the parking situation and the noise levels around the Retreat since I thought I was just shouting into the void here at my kitchen table.

19104 Lutterworth CT Land O Lakes, FL 34638 We do not want a playground to be built at the end of Umberland or anywhere in the Retreat. We would prefer to have a park with trees and benches or to leave the lot empty. We use it for neighborhood events.
I vote no to a tot lot in The Retreat. The large majority of us in here do not want it. It will bring in unwanted traffic and there is no where to park. We have plenty of playgrounds already within the community so this would be a complete waste of money. Aesthetically not pleasing for those that will have to stare at it in their front yards everyday.
Opposed to the idea of a playground in The Retreat with concerns of noise, lack of parking on the residential street, and potential vandalism in an unsupervised location. The community already has playgrounds; if the land must be used for a community benefit, a shady park is an option, although I believe most Retreat residents would prefer to leave the land as it is now.
Please don't add a playground in the Retreat. We like the quiet quant neighborhood that we have picked our home based on what was here. Adding the playground would totally disrupt that and ruin the serenity that we have.
A playground in The Retreat is a mistake. Please talk with the residents in the community that live in The Retreat. If anything turn this area to a green area with trees and benches for Retreat residents to retreat to. Most of us close this neighborhood to call him because it is quiet and low traffic. A playground here would heavily detract from the ambiance we have and attract people that do not belong in the neighborhood here.

We were not made aware of the intent to put a playground in the open space by the mailbox prior to choosing this community for our homes. I'm sure most of us would have made an informed decision prior to purchasing our homes at the Retreat if we saw the "future playground" on the master plan! This community is "not broke, please don't try to fix it with a playground"!!! Thanks,LT
