I am very much in favour of a better medical coverage. Retirees have to put out so much money especially for my husband cataract operation.

I would like to know why the TWU now the USW is ignoring Local R55

Why are retirees always the last to get a raise?

If we want solidarity within the union then we have to invite participation It's as simple as that

It is time to seriously consider a raise for our retirees!

Rick, the operation of R55 as never created properly in my humble opinion. ALL retirees should be automatically included, not costs, with the right to withdraw. Power is in numbers. Why is R55 the only "pay" to belong the local? The TWU should pay the costs, everything would be online to reduce costs. Participation is important to the TWU and R55.

The surplus should be used to help retirees. Retirees get no increases so this is a good way to help retirees out.

We are now part of the Steel Workers Union surely with all their Retirees and the R55 we could now command a better Extended Health Policy!

R55 has been trying to get these issues addressed for years with no help from the union office. Please join R55 and lets stand together to use the surplus to pay to lower our medical costs. I pay 18% of my pension to cover Extended Health for myself and my wife

This is a current fault of business no recognition of their past employ's contribution to companies future. Shame on you

My husband works for a company which never measures up to what we had atTelus, but his medical plan sure covers much more than what we have as retirees. I have kidney disease & the plan we have with BlueCross sucks!

You should be able to opt out of the dental plan without losing your EHB

This should be taken care of!

I hope that the "steel workers" will find it in their hearts to fix this sad excuse for a health care plan. It is sadly the only low point of retirement. Jack Oerlemans

It would be nice to have some dental and vision coverage, up front payments to the pharmacy as well
