This young man brought so many awards to UO!! His athleticism, team-oriented spirit, his humility, his personal ethics, his civic responsibilty, his leadership skills, his true selflessness have made him an amazing example for every young football player to aspire too. He also was instrumental in restoring Duck Pride. Retiring #8 would be a fitting Mahalo & tribute to this young man!!

Marcus is 100% true class, both on and--perhaps more importantly off-the field. His humble grace in the glare of media hype and the limelight of every conceivable award show character and maturity beyond his years. I doubt we'll see another like him any time soon.
