FROM ALL THE WAY IN ALABAMA: Marcus is the greatest athlete out of your fine University, I find it fitting that he be remembered by you guys retiring his no.8 jersey, and maybe even give out an individual award every year for the student athlete that performs outstandingly on and off the field called the Marcus Mariota Award.

Mahalo Marcus!!! Thank you so much for everything you have done for the Ducks over the past three seasons. I know I speak for all of Duck Nation when I say how proud we were to have such a fine quarterback and young man as yourself. You have done amazing things and I gladly concur with retiring the #8 jersey. I look back on what you have accomplished and you did it with such poise, fluidity, and natural ability, you made it look easy to everyone else. You are a truly special man and player and I am called to forever call you a "Duck"
