Retiring #8 is certainly appropriate for his accomplishments as a Duck. A statue is a nice thought but would be a bit too much though.

He honestly has done so much for the college, but I would say do not retire it right away. Wait a few more years, then retire it. Do not let other players wear it, but give him some time to get better at public speaking in the NFL before he comes back for a speech about his retired number

Marcus is the classiest and most awesome dude I've ever seen. Retiring his jersey would be the most respectful thing UO could do.
