Marcus received much from the U of O system. The U of O system received much from Marcus. They don't owe the other anything as they did right for each other and by each other. It's the impact on the student body as a whole, the school system and the world they touch....is nothing less than immesureable at best. Retire #8, not for Marcus, not for the school, but for everybody who feel inspired by the greatness of others.

Marcus Mariota brought me closer to this program than I've ever been and he is easily not only the greatest player to play at Oregon, but the greatest person also.
