The Town Council voted against the Rhamkatte PUD amendment tonight. We will monitor the upcoming planning sessions to ensure that any future site proposals adhere to the infrastructure requirements we identified.

As a resident of Holly Springs I am petitioning the Town to slow down and rethink a better development by voting ‘No’ to the proposed Rhamkatte PUD amendment 00-PUD-05-A05.

Rhamkatte is a high density PUD that will bring approximately 350 residential units plus commercial dwellings to the intersection of Bass Lake Road and Holly Springs Road, in between Holly Springs Elementary School and Holly Ridge Elementary & Middle Schools.

Rhamkatte is an urban-style development that is not appropriate for its location nor adequately supportable by the infrastructure of Holly Springs.

The residential and commercial traffic generated by the Rhamkatte PUD will have a large negative impact on Holly Springs Road, Main Street, and connected residential streets.

I urge the Town to slow down and take the time to develop a smarter plan for Rhamkatte and the continued growth of Holly Springs.

I do not think that the proposed Rhamkatte PUD reflects the kind of Holly Springs we have come to love. I am not opposed to growth, but this style of development does not seem to blend well with the rest of Holly Springs, which concerns me as it is in the heart of Holly Springs.

Holly Springs is fast losing its charm. This will only help spur on the suburbia ugliness that is prevalent in so many other towns around the country. Shame on the town council for pretending like this isn't a big deal

As a resident of Holly Springs, near Sunset Lake and Holly Springs Rd intersection, I already avoid Holly Springs Rd to get to 55. I frequent Beaver Creek and other areas because the traffic is too heavy in HS. This will only serve to alienate and overcrowd the town more.

slow down on all of the development....traffic flow is already awful on Holly Springs Road when anything is happening at one of the three schools. Why don't you try to get ahead of the traffic problem instead of trying to catch up.

While growth is good for the tax base this type of density in this location is not supported, it's pure greed to develop like that in such a spot. Holly spring is great because of it's small town feel, consider it's current residents before moving forward with this project.

There is so much growth happening in Holly Springs already. This is a very high density project. That area has so much traffic as it is with both schools starting & ending at the same times. This is going to be a traffic nightmare for parents trying to drive and pick up their kids from school.

There is already more traffic at points of the day than these roads can handle, roads would need to be expanded before this development could be responsibly built.
