A backward, poorly thought through and non-consultative set of proposals from ESB eCars. I will pay for charging but I will not pay for a card to let me use the machine 2-3times a year. Imagine if petrol engine cars had a flat fee just to get onto the garage forecourt?

"Banana Republic" Why do the people in charge always make the wrong decisions, Keep this approach up and FCPs will go the way of "E Voting Machines"? so much for our Countries Green Commitment.
Pay as you Go is the only way.
What will EV tourist make of the set up?
I agree with a per minute charge ( 30 cent grossly over priced) for using a FCPs as it will get Hoggers away from them.

I'm more than happy to pay for charging.... when I need it. Since buying my second hand Leaf on August 1st this year I've used a public charger once. I charge at home, so I'm paying ESB that way. My commute is short and it's rare that I travel any distance in the car. I won't be signing up for this and I'll be looking to get rid of my car should this go through.

Absolutely ludicrous unreliable charging infrastructure whereby I have been left stranded due to down cps and now you want a €charging rate which works out in my case to be much more expensive than petrol. Here's my keys. Esb you can buy my leaf back off me. And since I received my rfid cards two years ago absolutely zero correspondence from the esb. I have to find out about this on the ev owners Facebook page? You have continously handled this so badly

Its way too early to starting charging for charging.
The infrastructure needs to be proven to be reliable and plentyful, especially when it comes to fast chargers.
It will Kill EV sales in their tracks and with the proposed charges will be cheaper to have a petrol or even diesel car.
ESB should wait till cars develop to have a longer range and less frequency of fast charging before monetising it as theres not enough fast chargers out there.

Ridiculous monthly fee. Pay for what you use, a model that is accepted by those with 'normal' cars who happen to be the people ESB need to attract.
I need to use an FCP once a month, pay 17 euro a month and then 10 euro to use it. Not right.

Due to lack of coverage by the network CCS users often need to charge to 100% to reach the next rapid charger, that could means costs per charge of €20-€30.
Why should we be charged extra for ESB's failings?

Tesla provide free charging because they know it is the key to success. The flat monthly fee means that occasional users like me will not sign up. The per minute cost for the FCP means it is more expensive than an ICE. Crazy.

Awful decision. For someone who may only fast charge once a month I have to pay at least 25 euro for the privilege! Rediculous!

This price structure will kill the electric vehicle market stone dead if implemented. Please reconsider ESB - a monopoly gouging it's customers is not a good look.

This is very poor thinking by ESB. Given the recent recommitment to electric cars by the government I will be taking this up with my TDs and relevant government and opposition ministers

If this goes ahead I will be returning to dirty polluting cheaper to run diesel because at my current usage 3 x fast charges a week + €16:99 subscription + home charging approx €10 per week + parking they can stick it

Very unhappy with these ridiculous charges. There is no way i will rebuy an en ev at these rates. People in apartment blocks have to use the network with no home alternative. These charges make driving an ev far less attractive. Why per minute rather than kwh???? It has to be a clause that other provides can provide a service rather than eletricity which may require a license. This will kill evs in ireland.
