With the recent revelations concerning Cambridge Analytica's use of facebook data in the 2016 elections, its become obvious that commercial data usage requires some form of additional control to make sure it is not leaked or misused without consumer knowledge.
The TX state legislature should protect consumer's data by creating a law that requires users are notified on the specific data usages occurring behind the scenes. Citizens deserve to know what their data is used for.
