Hi there I live and run a business from 8 castlemona avenue Douglas. This could be fatal to my business and create more difficulties living in this area. Please save our parking!

They have had years to make a decision on the work on Douglas Promenade. Surely a decision could have been made. Work 24 /7 as in the UK or any other in Europe. Do one half then the other. Might take a bit longer. But a lot of people and businesses would be happier.

There are residences and businesses in this area that would suffer from loss of parking

I find very unprofessional and unethical that the Isle of Man doesnt care about how this decision affects to the people living in this area by allowing the parking to be removed. I would like to understand what are our options to park if there isn’t enough parking for everyone. One should think that the government cares about how this situations affects everybody in the area and that a decision like this should not go ahead. Please help us here as we all bought apartments on the view that there is parking for our cars and this is unfair and unreasonable

Can't they do one side of the road then have other side Open then vise versa?
This is rediculas not having any delivery dropped off.
No children dropped off at nursery. If people want to move in or out they can't park on the road or payment.

Shameful disregard for the residents of this area. Refurbishment projects should enhance the quality of life for all, not negatively impact the facilities of existing residents, not least of which in the devaluation of their property.

I strongly reject the proposed alterations, particularly to parking in the proximity of my daughter's home in Clarence Terrace. My wife and I are disabled and require easy access to her property.

To remove parking spaces in this area is insane, it's hard enough to find spaces as it is without making things more difficult for people who live there

Doesn’t seem like the greatest of ideas when all those cars will presumably move onto the already very over congested Castlemona Avenue. Emergency Services have already commented that a fire engine would not be able to get up the Avenue in an emergency.

The removal of all parking in the Central Prom area is absolutely unacceptable to the residents and business in the area! The DOI and the Minister for Infrastructure have show horned this through under cover of darkness without any consultation with the people it will directly affect! Alternative plans need to be considered or the DOI should provide an acceptable alternative solution.

I think the amount of rates that is paid for Douglas residents parking should be provided close to your home.
