It's nice having a president who cares about the students, teachers, and welfare of the school rather than just a useless figurehead with a dog who leaves when things get tough.

I sign this petition as a member of the community, and as President of the Mansfield Auxiliary Corporation, MAC, the organization responsible for the construction of the new student housing. Mr. Barton is uniquely qualified to continue his leadership of Mansfield University.

MU has been moving in a positive direction and seems energized by this progress. At a time when PASSHE is looking for solutions to the many issues that have plagued the system in recent years, it makes sense to allow some of these challenges to be countered in-house, especially when they are proving to be successful to the benefit of the university. Please consider allowing MU to continue on this positive course of self-improvement and growth.

I support keeping Scott Barton as president of MU. It seems that he is doing a great job with my alma mater. The university needs someone who knows the university and cares about its future.

It is clear that Scott Barton has the support of past and present Mansfield University stakeholders. If he has been able to accomplish this much in a short time, then he has successfully completed his audition to lead Mansfield permanently.

It seems like this individual has done a lot of good in his short time in this position. Seems awfully silly to let a rule like this get in the way of him remaining in this position. Use your heads, PASSHE!
