My children have felt safe and strived academically since Ms Knight-Smith was appointed acting principal.

Please leave this Principal at Charters Towers State High she has been the best thing for the students and school community, the children respect her and appreciate all she has done to make their school a better place, after many tears in having principals come and go, keeping this Principal would help keep the kids engaged in their learning and school community.

Mrs Leanne Knight-Smith has improved the name, and reputation of state high, she has given the students opportunities that have now been given in the past, she has improved the school cosmetically by getting G and A block painted and she has also be en super supportive of extra curricular activities by making sure we have facilities t that we need and coming along to support us in succeeding. On top of all of the amazing things she has done for the school she has always been such a lovely person to talk to and is always bright and bubbly towards all students and staff. Mrs Leanne Knight-Smith deserves to stay as the principal of Charters Towers State High School and we would love for her to be our Principal for much longer.

During my daughter’s time at CTSHS, Mrs Corcoran put her at risk and bullied her which has been documented. School attendance of other students was reduced until Mrs Corcoran left. Under Mrs Knight-Smith, school attendance of other students increased incredibly. My daughter felt safer at school and was more comfortable because she was not afraid of being bullied or placed at risk and no longer felt she was being punished for being autistic or having coeliac disease. This from students can be hard enough to handle, but the student body accepted her and it was Mrs Corcoran who did not. The school has overall improved under Mrs Knight-Smith and the library as a safe haven has been restored. The students have responded well to Mrs Knight-Smith as is evident by the attendance rate and student happiness.

Please, please help our school!

Yes please keep the current head mistress she is awesome happy to be teaching the kids the correct way smiles and is all around a better person the the last one that sent the school into mayhem
