As my highschool journey has come to an end, I had the absolute honour of graduating in 2022 with Mrs Knight-Smith as my principal. Ever since she joined the state high community she has done everything in her power to help better the school itself and encourage the students aswell as the teachers to thrive. She's done nothing but make moves in the right direction to make the school a better place I will always be #StateHighProud

Mrs Knight-Smith was the best principle I ever had at State High, her time being there has made a massive positive impact towards this schools bright future and it would be a huge blessing if Mrs Knight-Smith was to continue her amazing journey to creating an amazing school in the future. Leanne makes the students and staff at this wonderful school feel safe and valued - unlike who is stepping back in. What is happening to this school is unbelievable and disgraceful. Her replacement does not deserve another opportunity at this school and neither does her husband, or any other family member she’ll bring in and drop into leadership

Children in Western Communities need higher stability in education roles in order to maintain their necessary education requirements. When students rally to keep their Principal, it speaks volumes as to that Teachers reputation. Please reconsider moving her elsewhere.

We would like Mrs Leanne Knight-Smith to please stay on at Charters Towers State High, As she was very understanding and caring of all students and parents and co-workers of Charters Towers.

Going to lose a lot of staff and students if you reinstate the previous principal.
