What right does the management of the NHS have to switch this facility to a different user group? Especially considering the majority of the funding for this much needed Centre was raised by the public. Surely this needs further discussion and compromise?

I feel it is important not to abuse public donations in this way.

Living with a faulty heart is not easy. It can affect so many areas of our bodies physically and the psychological toll is immeasurable. The Highland Heartbeat Centre plays a vital role in enabling us to have support, advice, educational, clinical, and physical needs met to encompass us all under its protective umbrella. Closing it will be like having the proverbial rug pulled from beneath us with catastrophic results.

This unit has been a complete success to the highlands
A place where cardiac nurse specialist can come together as a team a place of support to patient and work colleagues
A specialist unit we need to go forward not back

Another example of the erosion of the NHS by managers who have never offered frontline care but have excellent accountancy qualifications.

This is a facility custom built. Why consider moving it and thereby lessening it's facilities?

Absolute disgrace to move all the excellent Cardiac team away from their purpose built "Highland Heartbeat Centre" facility, funding was raised by the general public NHS HIGHLAND now destoying these peoples legacy of having a Cardiac rehab establishment/ centre in one area where both cardiac nurses and cardiac physios can work along side one another for the benefit of all Cardiac patients.

Raigmore may manage this facility but they didn't PAY for it. They have no right to alter it's use.

The Cardiac Rehab unit was of crucial importance to my recovery, especially the gymnasium. Classes there not only built up strength and stamina but even more importantly, confidence. Along with relaxation training, seminars etc, the unit plays a vital role in the recovery of heart patients. Please don't reduce our facilities - we really need the gym.

The Heartbeat Rehab.Centre at Raigmore Hospital was paramount in helping me to recover post major Heart Surgery and a Cardiac Arrest 3 months later.Closing or down sizing this unit would be detrimental to helping Patients recover successfully.

A very necessary part of a recovery process following any heart surgery and heart attack patients
