Any chance of public consultation first?

A football club is a good representative of area and deserves decent facilities to play at. Wasn't it once said that a legacy of the 2012 Olympics was for more Sports Arenas for local people? Witney, like any other decent sized town in the K deserves and needs a Stadium that is for the good of the Community.

Although I now live in London, I am a former resident of Oxfordshire and have watched football at both Downs Road and the old Marriotts Close ground.

Witney Town once did the town proud. Don't build on the ground.

A sports venue is an essential hub for any community, no matter how large or small. It would be tragic to lose it completely.

Always enjoyed visiting Witney for football, even if we always lost. All the best in resurrecting the ground.

If the stadium can be saved, and new owners brought in with a new football team, then it can only be a good thing for Witney.

A town without a football club is a town without a soul.

It's a shame to get rid of this stadium, I hope it can be saved .

This could be used for so much more than just football. Dance groups, music festivals, fireworks and charity events. Could bring in a lot of profit if run correctly too.

All our local towns should keep their football grounds or another piece of their community is gone.

A town the size of Witney should have a team to represent it at a senior level playing England's national game. Such a team needs a suitable stadium to play at. If this one is demolished, where else can the team play?

Dans Grandfather played for Witney Town. He would be very proud of Dan for what he is doing to save the stadium so that future generations can play for their town as he did. It has huge potential not just for football but other sports and social events.

Community is about people and the things they enjoy. Community is not about greed and money-making. Keep community football alive.

Need traditional club ground like this. Often used by Oxon FA for representative youth football.
