Make our roads safe to ride on for Motorbikes too, we pay our road tax for the roads to be fit to drive on yet most councils have picked the option to use a gravel truck that resurfaces roads as it drives over them without closing the road. These roads are unsafe and of cheap economy. they do not fill in pot holes and once gravel is down the surface remains unsafe until all gravel in gone by at which point the road needs resurfacing again. We want tarmac or a more stable road surface to maximize grip. Stop using Gravel
I am currently compiling a list of the worst road stretches reported in your comments to present directly to the council. Photograph your local bad roads and post them to the council Facebook page today. Do not let them ignore the safety risks caused by this cheap gravel method.

The momentum behind this campaign is undeniable and it proves that riders are fed up with dangerous roads. Email your local council representative today to demand a move away from gravel resurfacing. Post this link on your Facebook feed so our local officials understand that we expect better.

Ridiculous we pay full tax for half a service. Tarmac is the only way.

My tyres are ruined because of this cheap gravel. Councils just want to save a few pennies but it makes the roads totally dangerous.

Been riding for 20 years and these loose surfaces are the worst they have ever been. Stop treating motorcyclists like second class citizens.

TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY! they dump the stones and it just flick up and chips my paint. Fix it properly.

Sick of sliding around on these gravel patches. It is a death trap on a sport bike. Just lay proper tarmac for once.
