Resurface Lynch Road in Sebastopol
From: Residents and Users of Lynch Road, Sebastopol
As residents of the neighborhoods around Lynch Road, and users of this key road, we are deeply concerned about the continuing deterioration of this road. There are major safety concerns caused by the dilapidated road surfaces, including drivers crossing the center line to avoid potholes and crumbling roadways that can damage their vehicles. These conditions also create danger for the large number of recreational bicyclists, motorcyclists and pedestrians who regularly use the roads. This road is used to access vineyards, by buses for Twin Hills and Apple Blossom schools, for the Gold Ridge Fire Station, and as a major connector to Highway 12/Bodega Avenue for people heading to the coast. A car count would surely indicate that this is not just a country road but a major thoroughfare.
We think it is critical that Lynch Road be resurfaced to ensure public safety and to adequately serve the community. The temporary pothole fixes are not adequate for the amount of traffic the road receives. We urge you to make the resurfacing of the relatively short Lynch Road a high priority in the road budget.
