Please support the cause to resurface the dangerous Westhill High School tennis courts before tragedy strikes! As many of you already know, the tennis courts are in deplorable condition. It is not just cosmetic, it is a safety concern. There are sink holes, surface peeling off, and black mold. The areas with black mold become extremely slippery when exposed to moisture. The existing cracks and damage will only worsen after the winter!
The Westhill boys team boasts several State Championships. Is this an acceptable environment for these outstanding players? Is this "Westhill and Proud"?
Both the boys and girls coaches must deal with player injuries. Effort has already been made over the years to no avail. Let's fix this before tragedy strikes!

We have reached one hundred signatures which provides enough leverage to formally request a sit-down with the school board administrators. I am currently drafting a letter that outlines the safety risks and maintenance logs to ensure this is on the next meeting agenda.

Why is the condition of these courts being ignored? They should be cordoned off until repairs are made because they only invite lawsuits in their present condition.
A real negative for the reputation of Stamford in addition to the extreme safety issue for all players including my grandchildren the Kaba girls. This should be a priority for our tax dollars.
As a westhill parent I find it absurd that the one sport that has performed so well at the state level is so underfunded and overlooked.
The courts are very unsafe and multiple people have injured themselves playing on the courts. Also, the poor courts make Westhill look bad.
This needs to happen. Our matches get cancelled a lot because the courts don't dry quick enough. It is almost embarrassing when other schools come and play here because there courts are so nice
Courts need repairs before someone gets hurt !!
Repair these tennis courts before someone gets hurt! Shame on whomever is responsible for letting yhem go!

I don't have any children at Westhill high school, but I am a member of the community, and one who plays tennis. We cannot use these courts anymore as a community. Let's safeguard the health of West Hill tennis players as well as the health of their appointments. This needs to get done. Let's do it.
