It's time to resume playing softball!! Softball is a non contact sport and playing should resume immediately. I do understand that people are fearful these days and understand social distancing but as our Governor has stated it's better to be outdoors in the fresh air. Softball has rules in place that has made it almost contact free and it is a virtually social distant game. It's time to get back to our lives and to many of us that means playing ball.

My cleats are still sitting by the door because my heart just isn't ready to pack them away yet. I have been spending my afternoons talking to the league organizers and finding out exactly what paperwork we need to submit to get the diamond open again.

Seeing this kind of momentum reminds me why I started this fight because I truly miss the diamond and the game. Knowing so many of you share this frustration makes the goal feel achievable again.

This is no different than going into Walmart, home Depot, or Lowe's when the state was shut down. We are more than 6 feet apart in the field? Come on let us play.
