It is always sad to hear that there are any problems with any of the services for the Student's at Regent's. As President of the Student Union at Regent's University London, I will now bring these issues to the management to be resolved and looked into. When us, the students come together we can always cause change!

I can confirm that the complaints made against Media Services in this petition are justified, and that these concerns are held by a very large majority of the student body. The changes suggested in this petition would go a long way towards improving the overall mental health and academic performance of the students using the service.

I do believe that the media services should be improved. Personally I have only had a few problems with the structure, one of which is the internet not working in the Media Services room. I believe it is very important for the students to use the internet, as there are times when we have to watch editing videos to learn new techniques etc. I have also heard a lot of complaints from my friends from other courses that have not been able to take out the same equipment as me. I believe that if they need it for a project and if it benefits them they should be able to have accessibility to that equipment. Apart from that I have also found some of the media services stuff very helpful, so I think that the Media Services is working well but could be improved slightly , which would also improve the progress of the students. I've been unable to take out specialized equipment despite being trained for it, because the online booking system won't let me reserve it. What is the point in taking the special classes if I can't take out said equipment for my coursework?

The current condition of Media Services tells the students that the school does not care about them and goes toward the general attitude of Regents that it hinders rather than helps it's students. This is certainly not worth even one tenth of the tuition cost.

Acting students should be allowed to borrow professional equipment!
