My child should have the right to go to the bathroom in private without the opposite sex being in that same bathroom . Just because I say I'm a lawyer doesn't mean I am a lawyer if I don't have the credentials to back it up. My point being just because someone says they're a boy or girl doesn't mean they are unless they have the body parts to back it up. You are opening the door to a lot of sexual-harassment suits next.

On the Hcs board meeting schedule page at the bottom states the HCS vision for student education. This thing is self destructive. Suggest parents unite at next board meeting may 23.

This is ridiculous for children to have to worry about. Many many households will end up taking their children out of school!

My child has graduated, thank goodness before this happened. I have friends who have children in the Horry County School District that are afraid to attend school. What happened to the safety of our children. This has nothing to do with transgender children using the bathroom of their choice. It has to do with children that abuse the free choice to do harm to other children, and we all know there are those children that are waiting for this opportunity. There has to be some way to monitor the use of this new rule. Either private bathrooms or a monitor assigned to bathroom duty at all times. Girls should not be afraid that a boy will follow her into the restroom and rape her.

Please give us our privacy back!

I took my children out of the Horry County School system this morning, my daughter is scared to death to go to school knowing that at any moment a boy could come into the bathroom after her. I will be finding a private school for my children to attend and Horry County will be paying for this.

Place single person restrooms in schools! ! Problem solved

Parents should go to court for an injunction to stop this crazy HCS ruling until it can be taken to court

I would rather sit in jail for my kid not going to school than to show them this nonsence is ok. This is stooping to low. There are kids in HCS that have mental disabilities my kid being one nit only woukd i hurt someone i woukd end up in jail again for some perv messing with my kid. I should put some guys clothes on and show people what could happen. There are people who could easily rape kidnap and destroy a child it onky takes one chance. I see young girls also getting preg. This needs to stop now.

You have been duped by an agenda. 1 percent or less of your schools population and you cave and put all students at risk? Carefully, reconsider your options. You are setting a terrible precedent with long-term consequence. Build single person occupancy bathrooms with lock. Look into other alternatives. When you offered a bathroom in nurse station to this student, you were on right side of the law and this issue. Please reconsider your hastily drawn wrong conclusion and make it right. Valuable lesson for all concerned. Thank you.

Provide a single person restroom for individuals that need it. Children are faced with enough. This way all children have privacy.
