Instead of making the majority of students use the restroom with someone that is not their specific gender, there should be a unisex bathroom for those who don't identify with their gender. If my daughters are ever in the bathroom and a male student is allowed to use it, they will both be home schooled!!

I DO NOT want transgender students using the restroom "consistent with their gender identity". My granddaughter is a student in Horry County, and I don't want her exposed to people like that, or her safety compromised. I AM OFFENDED by this 'policy'. It goes against our religion and beliefs.

I thought SC and especially Horry County would be one of the last bastions of sanity. I was wrong. Every week, I find another reason my wife and I sacrifice as much as we do to send our children to Catholic school.

This is ridiculous. My son is almost 3. If this passes he will not be attending any Horry county schools and neither will his little brother.

Make a neutral transgender m/or/f restroom! Our children will be moved to another district before I'd accept such an imposing rule. They have family restrooms, stop catering to people who are unsure of their identity.

A private restroom for all LGBT is the correct answer. And no that is not singling them out. That is saying they are not make or female but somewhere in between so let them have there privacy and let all the straight kids have there's.

We can not put kids lives at risk because of someone else's fears and ignorance. Just because something is different doesn't mean it's bad or that you need to be scared of it. Be more worried that when a fight breaks out at school kids video the violence until someone is killed and no-one cares

I know a young man who said that he was gay all through middle school. The girls treated him like one of the girls. They didn't even think twice about changing in front of him during the time of a school musical. He's now in highschool and has had a steady girlfriend for over a year. Most kids don't know exactly who they are until they're adults. Horry county schools needs to stop following trends and catering to a small percentage of people. Stop with this liberal and progressive nonsense. Maybe we all should pay more attention to political views before we vote in school board members. Don't forget that you work for us.

As a young women I am terrified to go to the restroom in public bathrooms due to the possibility of sexual assault. Schools are supposed to be where students and people like me feel safe and where we are protected! Now I'm terrified to go to the restroom in my own school. This is a problem!
