Transgender individuals are less than one percent of the entire population..... Why are we endangering every single "gender typical" female or male child accomabying a female adult to allow this to happen in our restrooms across the nation!?! Why are people not stopping to think that maybe a butch lesbian "trans" individual may now be raped or killed in what used to be a males only restroom? Or that a gender typical female may be frightened by a freaky dude in a dress and try to defend herself against him potentially with lethal force. This IS NOT safe for them either! It's ludicrous! Ridiculous. Superfluous. Unacceptable!!!

Students who relate to what they were born with should not be punished because a few say they relate to the opposite sex. They can use the teacher's bathroom or an unisex bathroom. But no one else should have their rights trampled for someone else's.

Our schools need this and if Nikki Haley wasn't ending her governorship and avoiding controversy for future political aspirations, SC would have already joined the states that have an enacted this state-wide.

This is more than just the bathroom, it includes the locker rooms too. And they can't single out the trans kids, so it includes all girls and boys. They now get to choose which bathroom/locker room they feel like using. Girls should not be forced to change clothes for gym, with boys allowed to watch! God forbid if they need to use the showers after gym, naked girls and boys....Good Lord....

I think it's ridiculous! Little girls shouldn't be sharing a restroom with boys regardless of what they identify as. Think of all the pedophiles who've been dreaming of this day. Absolutely Not!

Why is this happening to our kids? What a waste of time and energy. Kids should be learning not fighting over this issue. I think this is wrong. I don't want my daughter using the bathroom with a boy. This opens the door for others to sexual abuse kids. See what happens when you take prayer out of school. If this policy passes you can be sure there will be consequences and I pray it's not the children that suffer.

Stop putting kids at risk to cater to such a small group of people. The nurses office bathroom has always been an option - let's use it and stop creating a giant problem for the majority.

So disappointed in HCS. I put my kids in their hands & put my trust in them 5 days a week & now my kids can't feel safe using the bathroom they are suppose to. This new change will end up being abused & parents will be livid & then HCS will have lawsuits on their hands. Praying hard on this one.

I urge the district to not support a "transgender" bathroom. This is wrong you cater the the few and deny the rights & consideration to the majority.

This is persecution against Christian beliefs and morals. Do not be fooled. Why now? We have tolerated gays and trannys with no problem now the push is on to accept this deviant lifestyle as if it were normal. It is not. The truth is that it is abnormal and should not take precedence over our beliefs and morals. Especially with impressive minds that will think this preferred action and special treatment is something to aspire to. Separate but equal is better. What was wrong with the nurse's station? Instead of this law build a separate bathroom.

If you feel like transgender children/or adults can't use there God given gender then I suggest making a separate bathroom for them. Like the teachers already have a single stall bathroom make the same for the transgender!

I urge the district to not support a "transgender" bathroom. The Bible is God's holy inspired word and God does not make mistakes. Lets look at what God's word says: Psalms 139 : 13-14 "For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well." In Genesis God made a man and a woman. He never made a transgender person or a man in a woman's body or vice versa. Morally our country is going down hill fast. If those of us who feel like we do not have a voice continue to be silent we will eventually no longer have the opportunity to voice our opinion at all.
