The department finally granted the permit for the restricted bush riding license. I have been fighting for this outcome for a long time and it is finally a relief to know our kids can ride legally. Keep your paperwork close while we monitor how they roll this out across the …

I think our kids should be able to ride motorbikes in the bush with us (with fully licensed adult at all times ) , I'm happy to pay recreational registration and a restricted license similar to the marine restricted licences , please sign my petition and help make this happen , I know heaps of family's that would love to be able to do this without the worry of getting a fine for our kids having a bit of fun with us , please help this cause .. It will be more effective if you also leave a comment on the petition when you sign it , thanks a lot

I have spent the last few weeks fielding calls from families who are just as frustrated by these outdated rules as I am. It is exhausting work to keep pushing against a system that refuses to listen but hearing your stories keeps me moving forward.

My son loves his dirtbike but neither my husband nor I ride, so when he does get the chance to go out with his uncle or a fully licensed friend, we don't want to worry that he's going to get a fine. He's a good kid and he knows to respect the bush and the environment.

I have believed in this for years. A 12 year old can have a shooters license and carry a gun, drive a boat by himself, ride a recreational registered bike and be covered by the TAC. Yet we can be fined for being unlicensed. The law need to change

Great idea, rec reg bike and a restricted llicence would get me out with my kids on the weekend. I think it would also start the kids on the right track of having a hobby thats not cheap, therefore less money for them to take drugs!

if my kids have to abide by the laws of MA ( Motorcycling Australia ) and have to pay to be registered to race as a junior in motocross then why can't they enjoy the benefits of a recreational licence and get out and use the bush land with other responsible riders!

Making a recreation license for people younger than 18 will save the police a lot of time. People are going to ride there regardless. People will also feel less inclined to run from the police so there won't be any crashes from running.

I'll support this cause its criminal to throw 18yr old kids out on the roads on motorcycle after one day learner training whereas they require at least two years from the age of 16 on a learners before they obtain a drivers license. The riding experience is invaluable.

If kids can get a shooters licence and a boat permit, why not a rec reg permit
