Keep the Redskins... I went to Belding High, it's our heritage. To many people are offended by the little things that just don't matter.

why would you take the redskin out? I mean honestly people are to offended by everything. I grew up here and the redskin is part of our history.....
Bring it back. If people are offended by it to bad. We are proud of our school and our history. No one should be changing it

I have many memories and memorabilia of the Redskin pride. In fact our son rode his pony onto to the football field dressed in Indian attire thru the lined up team at the beginning of each game. Our community loved it. Having Indian heritage myself, I feel that taking the Redskins out of the logo is also removing more of our fading culture from the public. I am very proud of the Indian/Redskin pride. Please bring it back.

We have ALWAYS been Belding Redskins even when my parents were in school! I graduated from Belding High in 2001 and even then, we were STILL called Belding Redskins! This is ridiculous that this is even a problem! If this name was so offensive, then why all these years, are we called the Redskins?!

The early members of our community as well as several other communities in Michigan certainly chose mascots to inspire pride in their schools and teams. It seems logical that it was meant to honor the Native Americans who lived and still live here.

It's not an honor. It is in fact a derogatory name. I live every day in the Native American culture and it is a fight to get people to understand this is wrong.

Look up the Last name: FRISBIE. It is of Indian decent, We ,I , My Family have all been proud to attend the Belding Redskins High School. We have NEVER nor EVER been offended in anyway, shape, or form. If ANY thing it kept the name in existence for memory and pride in our history as Native Americans and The School we attended. I AM A PROUD BELDING REDSKIN RESIDENT AND A PROUD AMERICAN INDIAN.
