I worked at the Louth County over 25yrs ago as a Clerk Typist then & demands for the service were high then. Now as a Nurse I believe that due to the increase in population in the greater Dundalk area demands for A&zero would be higher & the need for an Emergency Psychiatrric Services are crucial in this day & age also, being a Senior Emergency Psych Nurse in Melbourne, Australia.

The Louth Hospital is badly needed back at full service to the community of Dundalk and surrounding areas to provide 24 A & E services and all other emergency and critical services. It is a shame and disgrace that the population of Dundalk and North County Louth have to travel to the Lourdes hospital that is dangerously overcrowded (despite the good work of the nurses and doctors there). We need our Louth Hospital back on full call and service to save lives of our community 24/7. No excuses just action. I am NOT voting for a government who will not provide this service and neither is my family. I have a parent (father) who is 89. You will not see the well paid politicians lying on trollies in the Lourdes. Our Louth Hosptial is professional, the staff there were always excellent and still are, the hospital is clean and always welcoming. ACTION NOW
