If we don't make a final stand more life will be lost and all for the stake of money it's time that we the people of Louth take charge of what need in our life and that the right to health care we don't need new roads we need a hospital by that work to give us a chance of life !

Are we surprised that the Lourdes in Drogheda is in trouble for its waiting list in A&E?

In a population centre with approx 40-50,000 people in the local catchment area, it is nothing short of a national disgrace that inadequacies in the provision of health services should endanger so many lives in the area. Restore proper services immediately.

It's a disgrace that the largest provincial town in Ireland has only an excuse for a hospital

Shameful that the politicians (NOT all of them I hasten to add) but the ones who have done nothing for the people of Dundalk regarding our priceless Louth Hospital should be sent to lie on trollies and watch our older people suffer and get worse as they lie in corridors in dreadful situations not because of nurses or doctors but because of past and present governments. i most certainly am NEVER voting for either lots again. Ger us back our Louth Hospital NOW to its full capacity of what it is capable of and what we need as a community. Not just the idle promises. Put some of your expenses, big cars and salaries into your local community. We do promise to see to it that you lot get a job on all our community projects working for Govt min. stat wage. Believe me you will learn a lot and with a bit of luck you will all disappear (the useless ones that is). We the people of Dundalk and surrounding areas NEED our Louth Hospital back.
