With a town the size of Dundalk and the surrounding area it is vital that the Louth Hospital is reopened. Drogheda cannot maintain the required service due to it being under serious pressure.

The Louth Hospital is vital to the communities of Dundalk and surrounding areas and the closure of wards and services has had a detrimental effect on local people who now have to travel to Drogheda for a sub-standard service!!!

Procedures are cancelled due to been too busy in the Lourdes A&E overcrowded staff doing their best in impossible situations also the distance people travelling to a hospital in emergency situations is unacceptable while there is a hospital on our doorstep to accommodate the large area of Dundalk
