The Board of Supervisors finally caved and voted to implement Ordinance 920. This victory proves that when we force these people to face the facts, they cannot ignore the economic reality. Keep a close eye on the implementation process because we will be watching to ensure they do not try …
Riverside County Supervisors: I am a resident and voter in Riverside County and I urge you to vote YES on Proposed Ordinance 920 when it comes before you for a vote. This measure would authorize one-time, inter-county transfers of property assessments in Riverside County pursuant to the California Constitution as amended by Proposition 90. Pursuant to Proposition 90, counties may allow senior home purchasers to transfer their property tax base value once from one county to another. By restoring Proposition 90 benefits Riverside County will attract thousands of retiree to choose Riverside County for their new permanent home. With Proposition 90 in effect, Riverside County will annually gain over $100 Million in economic benefits, create over 1,000 jobs and attract thousands of new residents who contribute much to their neighborhoods and demand little from government services. Riverside County Supervisors, Please vote Yes on Proposed Ordinance 920 to authorize Proposition 90 transfers in Riverside County
We just hit 100 signatures and the Riverside County Supervisors are officially on notice. They cannot ignore this pressure because the people are finally demanding the economic growth they deserve.

My husband and I have been waiting for this for years. We want to move to Riverside to be close to the grandkids but the taxes are just way too high without this transfer.

Need this passed now. Property taxes are crazy high and seniors deserve a break when they downsize.

Long overdue. Bring some common sense back to the county tax office. Why leave so much money on the table?
