Denali is the best place to view wolves. Living wolves benefit the ecosystem, build tourism and therefore the economy, and make thousands of people happy. Shooting or trapping the wolves only benefits the hunter and guide. It ends there. Protect the wolves!

I am a Denali Guide. No Buffer Zone means no wolves for the tourist $$$. If you don't care about the wildlife or the environment you should care about the tourist economy.

You saw what happened when the wolf buffer was removed. Wolf viewing inside the park dropped precipitously. There are an estimated 1500 wolf packs in Alaska. Sparing a couple of wolf packs from hunting and trapping when they venture outside the park in winter is not asking much, especially when you consider that they provide almost all of the fulfilled viewing opportunities that the vast majority of visitors to Alaska get to experience. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.
