Restore MAC Shower Heads

I think it's a petty way to save a penny. Give me a nice shower, please.

It really seems that more water and longer shower is needed to rinse shampoo and soap from hair and body. This low flow shower water does not "feel" like an "exclusive" athletic club.

Pay lots of money in dues to support the best club anywhere. But to cut back on water to save a couple bucks is wrong. I’m only in town during spring and summer but did stop by for one day and was hit up about showers by a few and then asked other members. They prefer the old showers. We went through this not long ago and they didn’t last and shouldn’t last this time either

It takes longer, probably uses more water, and lessens members overall experience.

I cannot see how the Club is saving money. Shower times have doubled and therefore we are using more water.

Agreed. This is not the place to save money.

Please revert back to the old heads. It takes me twice as long to shower since there is so little water. I am sure that is not what you were trying to do in changing the heads.

Please restore old shower heads in both the women and men's locker rooms. Any savings that might have been realized is gone with taking more time/water to rinse off.

Don’t like the shower heads. The MAC is probably using as much water as before due people having to take longer showers. Member #1208-0

I've heard nothing but complaints from my male exercise friends about these shower heads, and frankly - reading these comments I now completely understand why. Seems they are now feeling the similar "who didn't think this through" frustrations the women encountered with the layout of some parts of the women's new locker room. Please give them back their old shower heads, and give us better, "world-class", thoughtful consideration PRIOR to making decisions that affect all who sustain this private club. Much appreciated!

Not only is the flow compromised, the water is not as warm.

After a work out, a good shower feels good and is kind of a reward! The current sprinkler heads do not qualify. Please return to our old shower heads Thank you for your consideration.

Hi there - I was impressed with the savings brought on by the new shower heads, but they are simply not as good. If members are unhappy, can we change back half of them? I think that is reasonable.

Too low water pressure. No way to adjust to different water flow.

I understand that the intentions of the change was good. However, it takes twice as long to shower due to having to spend twice as long to wash off the soap!!!!!!!! Why wasn’t the membership consulted beforehand??!!

I agree these new shower heads significantly detract from the MAC experience. Moreover, the prior (good) shower heads were actually already 0.5 gpm under the max allowable limit, so with the prior heads the MAC was already fully compliant with regulations and in fact already practicing sound water conservation stewardship. There is a fine line between wanting to conserve water and significantly impacting the ability to have a reasonably pleasant shower after a workout. I sincerely hope the MAC will reconsider this decision.

Let's work for the membership's convenience not a false economic standard.
