This Cobb Island household has 3 residents in their mid-60's. The lack of a timely emergency response to a "senior" health event could mean the difference between life and death.
A friend my age recently had a stroke. EMTs arrived within 15 minutes, saving his life. Thank you for seriously considering this petition & the health needs of everyone on Cobb Island.

I live 3 miles from Cobb Island. I had a heart attack in January 2025 and the rescue squad saved my life.

I visit Cobb Island annually and have good friends who are their house on the island. Full time ALS on the island is essential. In true emergencies, where ALS matters, waiting for a medic or chase car from Newberg or elsewhere will mean the difference between life and death. I wholeheartedly request that full time. ALS be available on Cobb Island 24/7.

It's 35 minutes to the nearest hospital (if traffic cooperates). We need an advanced emergency response crew on Cobb Island.

Resident of Swan Point and know first hand how important Response time from EMS means. Bringing lifesaving equipment to our homes in the event of an emergency should not take a unit from as far as away as Bel Alton or La Plata.

I fought this in 2022 when they left. Wrote Michelle Lilly, who was director of DES at the time. Not sure there was a promise to bring them back.

Having an ALS stationed on Cobb Island would certainly lend support to our EMS station. It was promised after the move to Co 14 was made. We were passed over, a usual occurrence for our area!!!! I am requesting the CCDOES restore an ALS crew to Co 6 and do so asap. Someone's life could depend upon it.

I am a Cobb Island resident who was fortunate enough to have had a career EMS team in place with the CIVFD when an emergency occurred. I personally know the importance of having this service available. Please give this petition your immediate attention.
