I have family that on Cobb Island and are seniors. I want them and their community to be prepared incase of an issue that needs ALS. Please provide the life saving tools they need close to them.

I grew up on the island and this has always been a serious issue. The Civfd is an amazing fire/rescue station, I even volunteered way back when with them!! It is all volunteer though, and majority of the time all volunteers have full time jobs which leaves the station unstaffed and no EMS services close by at all. A lot of elderly residents live on or near by the island. They need a fully staffed ALS unit all the time at the station.

With my parents and grandparents being residents of Cobb Island I believe they deserve access to EMS ALS if needed. Newburg is too far in emergencies where time matters in my opinion.

Not a resident of Cobb Island but I’m one of their close neighbors who understands how long it takes to drive there. When minutes count you don’t want to hear they are 20-30 minutes away.

I don’t live on Cobb Island, but I have many friends that live there. I would hate to see somebody need that service and help not arrive in time.

I have an 98 year old family member that has lived on Cobb Island for over 50 years. She needs to have the comfort of knowing help will be there when she needs it

We need support for our EMTs on the peninsula. 257 has proven to be a very dangerous road with several bad accidents, some head on collisions.
We also have a large population of aging citizens.
We need a great deal of support.
