The community pays same rates and tax as those in non-rural areas, but services are non good enough for many to feel so unsafe

It's a must needs to be a full time station with amount of thefts,breakins and drugs Leeton needs to be able to accomodate the rise of these situations.

I have only lived in Leeton for 12 months and visited the police station for the first time last week for work. I was deeply concerned when I learnt it wasn't operated 24 hours and I had to leave a msg for a police officer to call me back. I always had in my mind, if I were ever in trouble I would go straight to the police station for safety. I haven't lived here long, however long enough to see a murder in this town. I don't feel safe, especially after last week learning it wasn't operational 24/7.

We lost our policeman at Whitton so it takes longer for police to respond to anything out here.Leeton police would be able to respond quicker after hours than Griffith police, 10 minutes can make a world of difference in emergency situations

Country towns need police station open 7/24.
Fulltime staff are essential
