where is the survey they promised?!! I hate come home late and have to park all the way to the top and drove passed all this unregistered cars that obviously not from the residents ( cable fixing vend, pizza deliver car, beat up cleaning lady's car)
also, huge SUV took up compact car space so no one can park beside them, and few motorcycle took up full space instead park at the small bike space, what the hell?
not only the problem u have to find parking every night, u have to remember where the hell u parked, can drag ur crying kid and grocery is not fun task. especially when u are in hurry!
where is the survey?!where is the survey?!where is the survey?! I can't wait to see what "large numbers of people" actually pervert this "genius" idea as the office lady told me.
where is the survey?!where is the survey?!where is the survey?!

This is the most ridiculous situation. The leasing office is an incredibly incompetent group of people.

We've given the new new system a try and it has proved the theory by many on the petition that it does not work nor is it equitable. Restore assigned parking on the same floor as our unit with no extra charges for parking. People pay a premium to live here as is with the feature of not having to hunt for parking.

Thank you for initiating this petition! When I first moved in to this complex, I was given a parking spot on the 5th floor, and I live on the third floor. I was told the parking would be reorganized in a few months. I was ecstatic when I recently was assigned my new spot on my floor! Everything, especially carrying groceries has become so much easier for me. NOW, with the open parking, I AM PARKING ON THE 5th FLOOR AGAIN!!!! Outrageous. I was living in a 40 unit building before this and even they had assigned parking. It is ridiculous to have open parking in a complex of this size. The only thing that open parking accomplishes is ENRAGING all the tenants. I want to park in the spot that is on my permit sticker, that is on the floor that I live. Please get rid of the open parking policy.

I am extremely frustrated with the new system. I would prefer to have a less "desirable" ASSIGNED spot than have to hunt for parking everyday. The minute the "open" parking system email came out I began calling the leasing office. After 45 calls or more calls, I left over 3 voicemails and was never called back. When I finally was able to get in touch with the management, they were extremely unhelpful and rude. I have been relegated to parking on the roof due to an unusual schedule - as a young female I am particularly unhappy with this situation because I feel as though it is dangerous to walk through the entire parking structure in the dark of night. UDR has to understand that this change is affecting every resident and we are very upset with this arrangement. I will not be renewing my lease or leasing with another UDR managed building and will make sure I tell all my friends and family.

This is ridiculous and lazy on the part of UDR. We all started paying rents and signed leases that included reserved parking. Now it is haphazard and we have to pay more if we want what were were promised in our original contracts? OUTRAGEOUS! I live on the 1st floor and have 2 children. Twice last week I arrived home with exhausted kids and had to park on the 4th floor. This is UNACCEPTABLE!

We have been living here 4 years and its ridiculous to have our spots taken away. We have a baby and i cannot carry y baby and groceries across the parking lot because we no longer have spots. I also have a babysitter that used to be able to use our spot and now she cannot because we have to display our permits. This is ridiculous

This parking situation is just Crazy!!! Having to drive around for 15 minutes the last two nights looking for somewhere to park is just nonsense. Not to mention the fact that just about all the tandem parking spaces were empty, but of course we can't park there, again this is just nonsense!. I want our assigned parking like before with our parking permits, that should take care of this mess!!!

I would like to keep the assigned parking spaces. It seems like a waste to have gone through all that effort to audit the spaces and to just throw it out within the first few days of implementation. I would greatly prefer to have an assigned spot that I know will be available every day so that i don't have to hunt for other spaces. This is my home and I want to be able to park in the same spot every day.

This whole saga is shocking in its incompetence. I can only assume they gave up on the new assignments because of a large number of complaints, so the question remains, why conduct an audit at all if it doesn't BENEFIT the majority of residents? Did they think people wouldn't complain about going from two single spots on the same floor of their apt to a tandem spot on a different floor (which happened to us)? And the remedy is to then inconvenience all the residents with open parking?!? This lack of consideration for its customers from UDR is appalling.

What the Management, or whoever is making all these drastic parking changes, fails to understand is that: We "TheTenants" require consistency and harmony, in the place we call "home". Jefferson is our current home, our santuary, a place where each one of us return after the end of a hard working day; it is exceedingly unfair, to return home each day with anxiety, of not knowing where to park our vehicles, necessitating each one of us to drive around, seeking for a free parking space. The initial parking arrangement was good, nobody complained about it - I want to retain my parking spot, I do not like, nor will I embrace the new crazy directives.
