All Special Education Programs including SPICE-2 at Carol Rae have always been a success. They were all designed to help improve and educate kids that are not typical. There are programs designed to help any type of child, whether they're a typical child all the way down to low functioning autism. Children with special needs that live in the gilbert district need they funds in order to continue academically grow. There's a purpose for a special needs department and programs. To take away funds from this department is a great disservice to the entire community.

If my daughter who has autism has to go to another school it would set her back tremendously she is just starting to do better at her school it was a hard transition the spice program at Carol Rae Elementary is significantly helping her come out of her shell Its hard being different as it is Please do not cut the funding for Education and Special Education The programs are too important to our children

Please reconsider cutting funding from the special needs programs. We chose to live in the Gilbert School DIstrict specifically for the programs provided for our son with Autism. These services have helped him greatly and we need them to continue.

As a parent of a special needs child please do not approve the proposed budget cuts. These cuts will deny children the support and essential services they so desperatley need. Please vote against these cuts and preserve the top notch education that ALL children a Gilbert is known for. Thank you!!

free education is a right for all chidren and Arizona should ensure that all children are treated fair and equal. Those with special needs should receive those necessary services for them to reach their potential. Arizona should step up and do whats right!

I have one daughter who went from preschool all the way through high school in GPS. She ha now graduated, but received a wonderful education. There were up years and down years, but the great majority of the years were ones that helped her progress to where she is today. I am so grateful. We now have a son going through GPS in Special Education. He's in high school with a few more years left to his education. Again, Some years have been better than others, but the progress that he's made because of the caring individuals in GPS is incredible. To think that we'll be cutting funding to our programs and eliminating elements that have helped our children to this point saddens me. I value education and have would in the future support education via overrides.

I oppose cuts to the special education program in our schools.
I oppose cuts to the Special Education budget. My 7th grader attends Highland Junior High School, received SpEd services, and is a state finalist in the National Geographic Geography Bee.
