Governor Wolf has once again eliminated funding for Tourette Syndrome
in his proposed budget for next year! Since 1993, the PA Tourette
Syndrome
Alliance (PA-TSA) has provided information, education and disability
advocacy to individuals with Tourette Syndrome through a grant from the
PA Department of Health. This funding helps individuals with this
misunderstood neurological condition be supported and accepted.
Tourette
Syndrome can be debilitating, but worse is the treatment received by
sufferers when those around them do
not understand. Funding for Tourette Syndrome continues to make a
difference in the lives of children and adults with TS. The support and
education provided by
the PA Tourette Syndrome Alliance cannot be replaced.
Please sign your name and include a comment
if you believe that it is important to educate people about Tourette
Syndrome, support the needs of individuals with Tourette Syndrome and
provide disability advocacy to help them succeed.Your support will be
relayed to our Legislators and Governor Wolf to show them you support
this funding! If you would like to donate to our cause please go to our
website at www.patsainc.org.
Funding for PA-TSA is critcal! It helps to provide in-service training for teachers and school personnel to support students and eliminate stigma. This education is important!
