I would love to see the man made barriers taken down or at the very least make it easier for fish to get past these structures

Having just moved to Mississauga from Calgary, I have seen first hand what benefit a well managed urban fishery can have to a City. Bringing the fish back to the Credit would benefit anglers and non-anglers alike.

I always fish at the credit river in the last 4 years less and less fish. Something needs to be done about it.

All man-made barriers to fish migration (e.g. Streetsville, Norval dams) should be opened to all fish

I love 1 minute away from norval damn and must say I miss the good runs. As well damning the fish in norval makes it a slaughter fest on opener which is not right. Open it up

Don't know why they have the dams there in the first place, my son used to throw the salmon over it when they were spawning, he is now 42 years old!

Why do we need to get the fishery back to where it needs to be? People keep butchering fish. Just seems like this is a fight against people. People cause the problem, then its a fight to fix the problem.

I would even volunteer to help restore fish back into the Credit River! Just let me know what I can do. My husband and I already help with some rivers and creeks via "Trout Unlimited".
Good
