Our family owned the barn from 1924 until the Park became a State Park in 1967 and we had to vacate. This project would be extremely beneficial to our family in its preservation for future generations to see in its original condition and spot on the property.

My husband's family bought the barn and moved it into the woods just left of the lighthouse. They vacationed there until they were required to give it back to the park. It would so much to have the barn rebuilt.

Once historical sites are allowed to decay and not be cared for they do not come back. This is an important part of Wisconsin and lighthouse history and should be cared for and preserved

Eagle Bluff Lighthouse is one of the premier stations on Green Bay. It plays an important role in the living history and traditions of the peninsula. To fail to recognize its significance and its value as an icon for residents and visitors to our community is immensely short-sighted. With the ongoing financial, inkind, and volunteer support demonstrated by the community, failure to include its improvements in the Master Plan is a slap in the face to local stakeholders and a failure to recognize the synergy and real economic and social value created by a local-state partnership at little or no cost to the state budget.

This is an amazing tourist attraction in the park as well as preserving our heritage. Most summer days, you can find not only many visitors by car, by busses there for tours.
