Outrageous! Stop the senseless slaughter of the wolves.

I just read an article on the Washington Post that the Alaska wolf pack at Denali National Park has vanished due to hunting. This is so sad. There was a mother wolf with two pups, and park officials haven't seen them for more than six weeks. "The family's den is empty and overgrown with weeds." Please halt the killing of wolves and remove all traps! After all the hard work and research that has gone into wolf recovery I am stunned you have let the poulation dwindle to one wolf in such a pristine wilderness area. Buffer zones are essential to the survival of Apex predators and all other wildlife that reside in our National Parks and Forests. Buffer Zones and no hunting are imperative for their survival. Please institute a much needed buffer zone to protect what we have worked so hard to save. Thank you Kelly Thompson

I read the story, it says the wolf was shot legally.......over a bear bait pile? Baiting of any kind should NOT be allowed. That is so cruel.

It will be a good day when we don't have to sign petitions to save the lives of this species and an even better day/world if we learn to coexist ~ these wolves were put on this landscape to serve a purpose. I pray this species doesn't become extinct! If they do all of the states where these wolves once roamed your financial means and revenue will also become extinct.

When are humans going to realize that these wild animals have been put on this earth for a purpose, and it's NOT to cater to humans. Live with the wolves or go extinct! This is not to be tolerated anymore.

Alaska is so vast in land why can you not give the wolf some for themselves and just leave them alone, if the people don't want them they shouldn't have moved there in the first place they along with many other animals was here way before us they deserve the right to be here
