How could we afford to do such a wasteful act? It has been proven again and again that wolves, like all predators, are necessary for the environment. They keep pray animals, deer, elk, etc, in check and balance the circle of life. Without them, pray animals could end up causing more damage than they are, such as roaming the streets and getting hit by a car, which would possibly kill all inside of it. One could argue that pray animals could be scared off, but wolves are just as easily scared off as they are. Now some may argue that wolves are dangerous, vicious and unforgiving. I am asking how? Sure rabies and other diseases can make that statement true, but that takes in account all the other animals in the world too. Now, I ask how can we delist them and allow them to once again go nearly extinct considering everything they have done for us? Do you have a dog? guess what, that's a descendant of the wolf. Do you have a family? It is theorized that wolves taught us how to form close bonds with one another. Do we exist right now as a species? Without them, we may have never made it. We would not be the rulers of this planet, or even exist

Removing the buffer benefited a few hunters and trappers, and harmed the entire state as well as the millions of tourists who come to Denali to see wolves. Wake up--wolves are worth far more to Alaska alive than dead!
