My husband was very instrumental in getting the light on 202 for St. Mary's. Safety was his motivation. We always had a crossing guard there as it is such a dangerous spot. I can't believe that there is no one there to insure the safety of this school population.

Please reinstate the traffic guard. It is extremely difficult to enter and exit the school.

We need the crossing guard, without one, we are not able to safely and securely depart St. Mary's with our children.

It is unacceptable that the county is not providing St. Mary's School with a crossing guard, especially at such a dangerous location on 202. If the county wants to lower the rate of accidents and fatalities and promote safety, instating a crossing guard at all schools should be mandatory.

We were heartbroken when we heard that Prince Georges County and Town of Upper Marlboro officials did not see the need to fund our school's crossing guard this School Year. As a result, are asking you to please reinstate the position of crossing guard for our school. The absents of a crossing guard has created a hazzard. As parents, we now have to risk life and limb to get out of our parking lot. This is especially treacherous, in the morning and in inclement weather, as we drop our children off to school. Please do the right thing and reconsider your decision.
Thank you,
Leslie DeFour-Barber

Trying to cross 202 in the morning is very dangerous. People race up that hill and it is very difficult to merge into traffic.

There has been a crossing guard there since the school opened. The traffic is much worse now than it was then.

We really need the help of a cross guard for the safety of our children and less traffic in the mornings, but most expecially in the afternoon, during dismissal. It will be highly appreciated if we can get our safe guards back. Thanks and God bless you.

Limited sightlines on this very busy road requires a traffic police presence at key school times for the saftey of the children and general public. I dont know why the funding would be cut for this.
