I've been going to Race Point for fishing and vacations for over 30yrs. The fact that we are no longer allowed to access the ORV routes/beaches most of summer is a crime.

My best memories of my deceased husband where when we fished off of Race Point with our boys. (1969 to 1989 when he passed.) Our son wants his children to have those memories and enjoy this wonderful experience My son even proposed to his bride on that beach.
All those years, portions of the beach were roped off for the terns, but there was also space for fishing and camping. I can see closing the camping area, but there has to be a way to 'share' the area with the ORV's and the birds as in the past. JFK created the National seashore so all could use and enjoy it. Protecting the terns and allowing access has benefited both all those years. Please, find a way to allow ORV's as was JFK's intention so all can enjoy this national treasure.

We can share the beach with the birds. We all know they are there. This isn't the 1950s anymore. I'm sure the renewed income from drive on passes can go towards better support and over seeing of the birds in there most vulnerable state. I've had baby plovers running between my legs while out fishing and it was definitely cool. Plus the renewed presence of people will more then likely deter alot of predation. We can make a compromise that will benefit everyone and the conversation needs to start now!!

I’m all for protecting wild life, but closing miles of beautiful coastline all summer long is mental.

this should be a high concern, govt has slowly taken our rights away to support those making big paychecks in the swamp doing nothing but laughing at us about a bird that clearly is over abundant on our shores.. Time to fix this over regulation Washington !!

There needs to be more thought given to finding a way to increase orv access. Too much preference to the birds.
