Please consider limiting the density increase to a one-mile radius around the metro stations. In fact, let the density within one mile of the metro be even higher than proposed, if properly supported with infrastructure. But leave the rest as is. That would be in keeping with the Reston vision of pedestrian friendly urban-type centers coupled with surrounding natural green spaces.

This county's leadership needs to realize there is a difference between "quality of life" and "standard of living." Having a lot of "stuff" and high growth does not equate to a high quality of life.
Reston was designed and COMMONLY UNDERSTOOD to be focused more on quality of life. What we are getting rammed down our throats was not supposed to be part of the deal.

Our representatives the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors do not represent the communities; they represent the developers. The lack of transparency and commitment to our communities is appalling and a dereliction of their responsibilities. There is arrogance, hubris on the Board.

Im confident Adding 40% more density to Rest on was not part of Robert Simon's vision. There are many examples of existing health,safety and,welfare issues. Several can be cited at the intersection of Wiehle Avenue , bike path and fire station.

My wife and I decided to live in Reston based it's diversity, sensible expansion plans, and close community relationships. Anything that upsets this balance, we are 100% opposed. Bigger is not necessarily progress.

I have lived in Reston, VA since 1993. The development around the town center has created a lot of traffic congestion and the problem will only get worse with the projects currently under development. Reston's infrastructure does not support this increased development. Also,. Proposed developments at Saint John's woods in North Reston will only add to the problem.
